Saguaro Mural

Look carefully and you can see the artist Joe Pagac on the scaffolding! This mural is going up on the Transamerica building downtown. You can see it towering above the skyline. Go take a look!

My next mural is a work in progress, just like my spelling community.  As this mural is revealed, so is the potential of what life can offer surrounded by friends. The fact that it is a giant saguaro only adds to its connection to spelling. The gentle towering saguaro seems unassuming but holds many secrets deep inside. The mysteries within hold all the wonder.

As with all my silent friends, while we may look prickly, our spirit inside explodes with words that bloom and fruit with stories untold.  And like both the cactus and the mural, patience will reveal a true masterpiece.

Niko

I am a member of the Tucson community.  I have sat alone in my head for many years. My mind does not communicate with my body; I have never been able to speak. Spelling has offered me opportunities to have a place where I can be my true self and most importantly for the friendships I have made.
