My name is Ethan and I'm nonspeaking. Having apraxia means my body doesn't always look like everyone else's. It doesn't mean I am not in here. Hard times have led me to always lean into the small beauties of the universe, such as poetry and music.

My idea to create this collection of poems doesn't come easily. Written literally letter by painstaking letter, every word carefully crafted with a complex process to breach the silence. Poetry rises to this same occasion, to breach the silence of the harshness of today's world. Love will conquer all things to save people from this reality.
